I caught up with Caroline Miller; the designer behind SophieBoxer to find out about her latest collection and her amazing new showroom in Auckland.  Here’s what she had to say:

What is SophieBoxer?  
SB is a seasonally designed range of 100% pure Mongolian cashmere. The collection includes cardis, jumpers, scarves and throws of varying weights for both, casual and smart, edgy and classic.  SB cashmere pieces really are luxury, limited edition investment pieces with individuality and style. Quality Cashmere is such a tactile, sensual product.

 Can you tell me more about the latest collection?
The collection is really a reflection of my own lifestyle, with styles like our chunky cable knit pullover to take you from weekend getaways lounging by an open fire to our lace knit sultry evening cardigan with chic 3/4 sleeves, to the classic tailored cardi for smart ‘work time’.  There is playfulness, sexiness, seriousness and edge – I think I’ve covered it all with this collection!

What was your inspiration behind it?
‘Love and happiness” – which ties back to my own life and lifestyle…

You’ve just launched a new showroom Auckland, what can you tell me about that?
We are so excited about our new SB Space – a highly creative, contemporary and dynamic retail environment that immediately stands out from other retail offerings in the area. The SB Space brings to life an iconic cultural location in the former bread factory. The opening of SB Space complements exciting new developments on the Osbourne St (in Newmarket, Auckland) fringe which includes café/wine bars, retail fashion, hair, makeup, stylists, nails – we have it all going on!
