the story
We’ve been digging New Zealand designers, artists, musicians and our general creativity for ages. And we wanted to get the word out there about the emerging talent in New Zealand. Back in 2009, we set up Fashion Guru to showcase new and established Kiwi clothing labels. But that wasn’t enough – there’s just too much creative energy in Aotearoa and we wanted to showcase more of it. macandmae.com was born to do just that.
mac+maeis all about the creative collective. We’re a group of New Zealanders with a passion for creativity. Artists, musicians, singers, writers, photographers, crafters, we come from every part of the creative spectrum and we’re excited about what’s going on here. We’re always looking out for new talent to share, as well as keeping up with what’s coming out from more established creatives.
The website is a hub to share all the creative talent in New Zealand. To put the freshest new work on the web and share it with others like us. We’ve got heaps of people contributing, checking out the latest gigs, shows, runways, film projects, if its creative we want to know about it.
