Christchurch band nomad have been winning over unsuspecting audiences with their heady harmonies and pop hooks. They made their musical mark on the charts with their undeniably catchy single ‘Oh My My’.  nomad are Will McGillivray, Cullen Kiesanowski and Aasha Mallard.  We chat to Will ahead of their RnV billing for 2017.  You can also catch the band at Homegrown 2018.

Festival season is upon us and so far we’ve had an epic line of fierce fashion at Coachella, and now the festival of all festivals, Glastonbury is here!

The iconic UK festival is known for bringing ‘It’ girls together in their denim cut offs, fedora hats and Hunter wellingtons, who can forget Kate Moss circa 2005 in her tiny hot pants, waistcoat and now iconic Glastonbury studded belt?

This year’s fashion proved no exception, with It Brit Alexa Chung rocking a stunning silver Max Mara jumpsuit, paired with green Hunter ankle boots, and Daisy Lowe in a sheer lace dress and cool shearling leather jacket.

Bringing the festival closer to home, Rhythm and Vines has just announced that they are bringing Glastonbury’s famed Arcadia Afterburner stage to their 2014 festival.

The unique stage will house a 4000 strong dance floor, with a DJ booth at the core of the structure, a towering spire that fires 30 foot flames into the air and flaming tree sculptures.

The announcement will no doubt please Glastonbury fans in New Zealand and give them a little taste of the UK’s most iconic music festival.

NZ Music Month Summit

Ever wondered how to… do it the Indie Way? Or perhaps you want to create a live career?  What about writing that hit song or finding a manager or even managing your own band?
Well, thanks to The Music Managers’ Form (NZ) in conjunction with the NZ Music Commission, you can find answers at the annual New Zealand Music Month Summit.


The NZ Music Month Summit features a wide range of seminars where top industry experts explain the intricacies and behind the scenes facets of the NZ Music Industry.

Based on “How To…” this is a rare insight into what makes the NZ Music industry tick and how to succeed in the market. The day features a range of industry experts including managers, funders, labels and songwriters

For members of the Music Managers’ Forum (NZ) each seminar will be followed by the highly successful speed networking sessions, where members get the exclusive opportunity to speak one on one with a range of the day’s speakers

The NZ Music Month Summit is Open to the Public and is Free Entry
