FRINGE 18: 5 mins with Dean Whaitiri

Everyone has a story to tell, including these amazingly talented musicians plucked from the streets and markets of Auckland. From the Streets to the Stage features an eclectic mix of busking musicians including a homeless man turned successful Auckland businessman; a guitarist who has played with Slash, Joe Satriani, Elton John, and Black Sabbath; and even the star of the award winning NZ film, “The Dark Horse”. We chat to self-taught jazz and blues saxophonist (and owner of Galatos), Dean Whaitiri.
