Tom and I had the opportunity to visit Showroom22 earlier in the week for the launch of the luxury online fashion boutique MiSHKA. Displayed on racks were beautiful threads by Australian designers Josh Goot, Willow and Magdalena Velveska.

MiSHKA carries an exclusive range of the above Australian labels and more. Michelle Johnson decided to establish MiSHKA within New Zealand upon the realisation that none of her favourite international labels were stocked locally.

Michelle decided to launch an online shop to give New Zealand women “access to the best labels in the world”. As she points out, “I’m an avid online shopper so I know what women want and need these days…I’ll be building the collection each season and want MiSHKA to become a staple shopping destination for discerning women.”

Having a look through the garments on display I was immediately drawn to Josh Goot. He’s known for his graphic prints and had some amazing pieces from his Spring/Summer 12/13 collection on display. With quite a structured look, there was color blocking, peplum skirt and stunning floral prints. There were also beautiful prints from Magdalena Velveska with uneven hemlines. Below on the left is the peplum skirt by Josh Goot and on the right is a long Sleeve Shirt with woven trim by Willow.
